Chapter Twenty - Part One
Present The next day started out just like the one before with breakfast then moving on to doing chores. Since she had finished pretty much all of Murien’s difficult to do tasks, they decided to work on Anne’s list. One of the items on that list was laundering her curtains. Ada helped bring the curtains down and carry them out to the yard. There they washed and rinsed them by hand. Ada helped Anne lift the heavy water logged fabric on make shift clothes lines. Ada was standing behind one of these curtains spreading it out as she heard a car pull into their drive. Ada’s heart started to pound and goose pimples broke out over her skin.
