Chapter Eighteen - Part Two
After Ada dressed, she came downstairs to join the woman and her husband. She was still unsure of their motives and where their loyalties lie, but it was apparent that they did take her in. They let her rest and bathe there. Ada wasn’t going to ignore that they did that for her. At the bottom of the stairs, the house opened up with two large archway entrances on either side of the staircase. She glimpsed the corner of a couch to the left side of the house and to the right she could see some kitchen cabinets and the back of a chair. She could hear the low murmuring of voices, so she followed the sound to the kitchen. There she found the woman that helped her, sitting across the table from an older man.
