Chapter Ten - Part Five

282 Words
Etienne and his two friends came into this quaint establishment without an agenda in mind. But as always with his life, events transpire, and his plans change. They had been very busy, this stretch of a few days were the first lull they’ve had in over a month. Instead of flying straight to their next destination, they decided to take one of the vehicles and drive the reasonable distance. They took this opportunity while they were not expected and recognized, to enjoy the pleasantries and simple things that go along with being out in public. His security detail about had an aneurism about possibilities of assassination or k********g, but he refused to budge. To keep from losing his best employees to heart attacks due to anxiety, he found a compromise with them. Two men can accompany them to outings, but not make it obvious what their reasons are to be there. And the next compromise is to choose an outing location ahead of time to let them look into it first. This small little bar would have been a place his father would sneer at, but he loved it. It was by far one of the easiest for his security detail. As soon as his group walked through the door, he was looking forward to sitting with his friends and doing what normal men his age usually do; Have a drink and talk. The raucous group of women in the corner had immediately drawn the attention of all three of them, but mild interest was the most he felt. Until later in the evening, when dark brown curls brushed his shirt sleeve and he caught whiffs of a tantalizing feminine scent.
