3 Years Before
The morning following the group’s festivities, Etienne woke up a little foggy.
They had stayed out until the wee hours of the morning, not to mention drank quite a bit of alcohol. He went to reach for the woman that fell back into bed with him when they got back. He was going to ask her how she was feeling, since he was pretty sure she drank the most out of everyone.
But that side of the bed was empty.
He sat up, momentarily worried, then realized he could hear the sound of the shower running.
With a smile he decided he needed a shower, too.
He padded into the bathroom barefoot, slid the curtain over and poked his head in.
“Mind if I join you?”
Ada jumped several inches off the ground.
“EEEEEP!” She squeaked out in several octaves higher than her normal voice.
