The Unstoppable Titan

The Explosion

Peter went to the laboratory where he had gotten his abilities; He look around for the scientist but he couldn’t find him. He walked into an empty room and decided to build a personal gym so he can stay in physical peak shape. He upgraded a lot of the equipment so working out would be a challenge for him.

While Peter was lifting he started hearing loud noises. They sounded like someone was ravaging through things. Peter walked out of the room and noticed that the laboratory was all trashed and it looked as if someone ransacked the place. Peter saw dirty footsteps on the floor so he followed the path.

The footsteps led to an elevator on the far left side of the building. Peter clicked the button and waited for the door to open; He walked into the door and clicked a red button that had a hazard symbol on it.

The elevator moved super quick and it ended up in some weird room way below the laboratory. The room was like an ancient temple with torches everywhere. A large glass container filled with a red liquid sat in the middle of the temple. The container had a label which read “The Titan Serum”.

Peter grabbed the container and held it in his hands. He heard a loud bang that sounded like a gunshot; the jarring noise startled Peter and made him drop the glass container. The red liquid got all over Peter and made him feel like he was on fire, the pain was unbearable. This was weird since he had a neurological condition preventing him from feeling pain.

Another loud bang occurred but this time smoke filled the room; The bangs were explosions. A third bang came from inside the room and this one sent flames flying through the air towards Peter. Peter closed his eyes and waited for the flames to burn him alive.

A few seconds passed and Peter realized he wasn’t dead, instead, he was completely painless. He opened his eyes and saw that his skin was silver; It looked to be some type of metal covering. “What the —,” Peter said to himself.

Peter heard footsteps walking his way. He turned towards the direction and got into a fighting position; The person walking his way must be the bomber. A scientist wearing a black coat and a gas mask walked right up to Peter. He had some sort of patch on the upper arm of his coat, it was shaped like a claw. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a revolver. The bomber shot Peter but the bullet only bounced off the newly discovered metal skin.

The scientist kept shooting Peter but it wasn’t any help. Peter swung and the bomber and began using his boxing skills on him; The metal skin increased his strength and durability. He knocked the scientist out and then took off the gas mask, it was an oddly familiar face but Peter couldn’t figure out where he’d seen it before.

“This Titan Serum gave me more powers. Well, now I have that my hero's name can be Titan… The Unstoppable Titan,” Peter said to himself. He ran back to the elevator and went back up to the main floor. He exited the laboratory and began his hunt for the scientist who gave him the first ability.

“Oh my gosh, my dad said something about a monster having claws right before he died and now I saw some bomber with a claw symbol. This all can’t be a coincidence,” Peter said to himself out loud. He was so confused and worried; He needed to find the scientist and see if he has the answers to the questions.

It took him hours but he had found the scientist. He explained the situation as best as he could but the scientist seemed to already know who the man was.

“Listen, kid, there’s a lot you don’t know. My name is Doctor Daniel Wolfe and I used to be one of the head scientists for a secret organization called ‘Claw’. The other head scientist was someone named Professor Black; He was fired because he stole something important to the organization. Black’s memory was erased but he somehow recently got it back and blew up the old Claw building which is under my current laboratory,” The scientist explained.

Peter’s eyes opened wide because he just discovered something. Professor Black was the guy who his father had worked for; Whenever his father Thomas was saying his last words he said something about a monster having claws. Peter wondered if he meant his boss who worked for Claw was the monster.

Meanwhile, the black-coated scientist woke up on the ground from where he was knocked unconscious. He stood up and headed over to the elevator. He dusted himself off because of the dirt and smoke from the explosions. He popped off the button cover in the elevator revealing a fingerprint scanner. Professor Black put his finger up the scanner and then the scanner glowed green; It took him to another secret room but this one looked like an evil dungeon.

The room was large and it had some sort of giant organism stuck in suspended animation. It was gray with a tail and it resembled a lizard. “Don’t worry buddy, you be done growing soon,” the evil scientist spoke to the organism.

He walked away from the organism and went over to a desk. Dozens of files were on the desk but the one he grabbed was very particularly different than the rest; It was under the name of ‘James Garrett’. Black opened the file and it talked about an experiment between James and an extraterrestrial creature named Tyras.

“Don’t worry Tyras I have the DNA of James’ son. Now I can complete your revival since James killed himself,” Professor Black said to the organism from across the room. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out a small vile with blood inside of it.

3 weeks later…

The Unstoppable Titan used his newly acquired powers to stop small crimes around the city. His favorite crime this week took place 2 days ago in the Fox Haven Police Department.

“Everyone put your hands in the air before we burn you all to ashes,” A criminal said to the officers and hostages. He stood at the entrance wearing a black leather jacket with red leather pants and gloves; his face was covered up by a spray-painted gas mask.

The crook was tapped on the shoulder by someone from behind. He turned around to see a man in a red bandanna with metal skin. The crook was then lifted into the air and thrown across the room.

The crook’s henchmen aimed flamethrowers at Peter; They pulled the trigger and sprayed fire everywhere. The Unstoppable Titan walked straight through the beams of fire to stop the criminals. His durability and strength were too powerful for the enemies to even bring damage to Peter.

After the villains were defeated, Peter untied the hostages and the police officers. He ran out of the place right before the fire department and other officers arrived at the crime scene.

“Some silver man with red gloves and a red bandanna saved us all. I’ve never seen anyone with the ability to walk straight through flames without being harmed; The man’s strength was extraordinary also since he was able to throw someone across the room,” A witness spoke to the news station once they arrived at the scene also.

“He might have acted like a hero but someone with those powers could easily kill someone or endanger them; This man or whatever he is must be kept under surveillance until we can figure out how he can do what he does. Good news though, he took down the Friction Gang,” The Chief of Police said on the news right before he released a warrant for Titan’s arrest.
