A cell and bedding are then issued to the students. He/she will then be led into one of four dormitory areas known as "Pods" and Pod has four cells. Each pod has one cell that houses two beds, all other cells house one bed. Pods are segregated based on gender types. Each cell is furnished with built-in bunks, a desk with stools, a sink, and a toilet. Per policy, if cells are available, young people should not be doubled up. The facility only puts two young people in a double room if they are at maximum capacity. If a student is violent or otherwise uncooperative during intake, they may be placed in the Padded Cell where they will be unable to hurt themselves or others.
