Ridge POV
Since the phone call, I had been trying to stay busy, but my mind kept going back to the fact that my girl will be arriving soon. Even my wolf popped his head up and told me not to screw it up. He wasn't back yet and won't return till he has his mate back; that won't be easy, and she was mad at me, and I don't blame her. I would have lost it too if I found her in the arms of another man. I get it, but I can't change what happened, and declaring my innocence with my track record won't work. I have kicked myself over and over again, but that doesn't change facts.
"They have arrived at the gate." Dad's voice comes into my mind, and my anxiety rises.
We gather at the bottom of the steps leading up to the packhouse. I was a little surprised to see the royal vehicles arriving.
