"Mother!"

The water was flowing in a spiral manner and upwards. It then incurred to me why it was behaving as so. In the middle I saw my father's, so called immortal, body lying next to the Lossom.

"Cast your arm into the water and find the answers you seek my son."

"I stretched my arm out and touched the stream and found myself in a white room. Then she came to me. Mother.

"Look how much you've grown my darling son."

She was in tears. I run up to her, my arms held out and wide. I embarrassed her with a short-lived hug. If anyone saw me at that exact moment, I would never be respected again. I was a mess. I was all over her. I had her soaked in my tears. The feeling of getting back the one person who really cared was just, timeless.

"Why did you leave mother? Why? Where did you go?"

"I had to go my son ,for your father's safety. Eridanus..."

"Eridanus! I knew it!"

"When I left he followed me to the stream and when I had the Lossom in my hand, he stubbed me from behind but luckily I fell in the stream with it in my hands. That's when I was chosen to be the guardian of Lossom's Keep."

"What about father?"

"Uzinouph had come to visit me when he got attacked by Eridanus and his troops. He had just put the Lossom in his hand thus he was at his weakest when he was murdered. The royal family is immortal but for the first ten seconds in contact with the Lossom, all power is lost."

She handed the Lossom to me and I came back to reality. The water twirled around me and shielded me.

"Here. You are the heir to the throne. You are the new emperor of Lantanum. Now use the Lossom to make things right."

I could feel the Lossom's power flow in me.

"Go avenge my love."

Then it hit me. Carina! I left her alone. I'm such a fool. I broke out of the barrier and turned the Lossom to a sphere that followed me from behind. I opened a portal that took me to my room. I was welcomed by her bracelet on the floor. She was gone. There was only one place that Eridanus could have taken her. To his miserable little dungeon at the top of Mount Dykum. I put on the skull and let my anger take control. I dashed towards the mountain as the wailing from the skull echoed out.

It was getting colder and darker at the peak of the mountain. Eridanus was on his balcony and could hear the wailing. A storm had begun forming ahead with lightning striking anything that stood.

"He is coming."

He walked to his basement where he had Carina trapped in a time loop so she could not fight back. He teleported her to the front gate.

"I know he holds The Lossom. I do not want to fight him. Not now."

He snapped his fingers and released her from the time loop.

I was almost there and I could see Carina from afar. She was standing in front of the heavily guarded gate. I reached out my arm and...

"Are you okay? Did they hurt you?"

She seemed alright to me but she would not speak. The guards were coming closer and I did not want to fight my own kind. I opened a portal to the Caithnessium Forest. It was right next to the castle in Actinium. I do not know what the problem was but we did not appear as close as I thought we would. We were stranded somewhere in the woods and Carina still wouldn't talk to me. It was dark but my Lossom provided enough light for us to see ahead. We went past a pond and the little bubbles the fish made when they breath was just funny to me, but I could not laugh. There was no reason to. Carina was giving me the silent treatment. I knew what I had to do.

"Give me your hand."

Carina stopped but she turned away. She didn't want to look at me. I was repulsive, like a snail on a wall or the drop of mucus that sneaks out of your nose and finds its way onto your upper lip. I was just...

She had her hands locked. I came from behind and pulled her hair back. Slowly I teased her neck with just my breath and I could feel her heartbeat going faster and that's when she put her hands down. I let go of her hair and held her hand. I kissed her neck and when she turned, I pulled her and dashed her to a cliff.

"What's wrong with you?"

"Just having fun."

I went leaning for a kiss but she pulled back and started walking away.

"What now? Are you mad? Look, I am sorry... That skull ,it makes me do things. I lost control."

She looked back and faced me. She looked upset. Her dress had already begun turning white. She spoke as she approached me.

"You don't quite get it, do you? It's not just about today. It's about every single time. Every single time we meet, you just leave unannounced. Just like you left me when we were kids."

I could see the pain empower the rage in her eyes. The ground below me was already cracking.

"Or when you didn't attend the second meeting just because you had zits. Do you know how much preparation I had done prior to that day? Father said I looked like a million stars but you didn't even show up. Now you are back in my life. I don't know what you want from me. Maybe you should just..."

"Leave?"

"Yes! Exactly! Just leave."

The ground under me began to slant backwards and I was surely going to fall. The bitter words from Carina had already taken a toll on me and I was weak. I was at my worst. I could feel myself getting lighter as I almost hit the ground. For a moment I was hovering and the song, Say you won't let go, was the only thing playing in my mind. I could hear her screams echoing. She was scared. From where she was, I don't think she could see me. Maybe she just thought I was dead. But I could not die, I was immortal.

"I'm so sorry. Perdivacx! I'm sorry! I did not want you to leave."

I could hear her sobbing. I rose back onto the cliff Slowly to make it dramatic.

"I was never going to leave."

I put my arm out and she gave me hers. I held her and pulled her close to my chest where she rested he head. She stepped on my feet and we rose to the skies as we cuddled. I wiped the tears off her cheeks and kissed her on the forehead. She looked up to face me. I could see the innocence in her eyes. I leaned forward and so did she and we met in the middle. Our lips touched. The Lossom formed a pattern of sorts around us. The feeling was just timeless.

"I don't want to go back home. At least not for the night."

Suddenly the atmosphere changed. I could feel something was off. The skull of the Pantheris appeared and I knew danger was larking in the woods. I put it on and the Lossom began to glow red.
