Shen wiped his sweaty hand on his trousers before he shook Gib’s hand. “Shen. Trained at Saripa Arena, Novice level one.”
Gib gestured towards the Arena. “Nice work out there. If your friends weren’t holding back.”
Lara shook her head. “No way. He’s hard enough to live with as it is. We’re determined to beat him one day.”
“Maybe I’ll let you blindfold me so you can.” Shen grinned. Although it was hard to beat people who knew all your moves and tricks. And your weaknesses.
Lara wrinkled her nose at him, her green eyes full of laughter. A grin broke out. “I can picture you stumbling around blindfolded and trying to attack us.”
“Still probably wouldn’t be enough to help,” Edwin grumbled good-naturedly.
Gib glanced around at the four of them. “Have you been on the Battle Circuit long?”
