Chapter 2.

Ariel's POV. "Ariel, why are you getting low marks in geography while you get an A+ in each subject?" My 'perfect' mother asked me immediately as I got in the house. I couldn't call it a home, I could never when it feels nothing but just a building with walls, doors, windows and rooms to shelter you. "Sorry mom i'll try to get an A next time." I answered boringly. Can you believe this woman? I only got a 95 on the test and she expects a 100. "Next time make sure you do that or else you're sleeping outside for a week." The woman who birthed me said. That was the last straw, she tried me and I'm gonna make sure she tasted how bitter I am. "Let me make it easy for you, i'm going to stay at Ezra's house and pay my own school fees using my own hard-worked money." I entered my room before she could yell at me again. "Hey Ezra." I said after he answered my phone. "Hey, look Ariel if you're not calling me to tell me that you're gonna stay with me then I suggest you save your phone bill and hang up." "Well, would you be happy if I said that yes i'm calling because of that?" I asked. "Yes! A million times yes! I mean no offence but I hate that woman which claims to be your mother." He yelled. "None taken. Okay i'll go and pack my stuff." I said and he hung up. Taking out my suitcases, I pack everything that I need, from my clothes to my books, electronics and snacks along with my savings. "I'm here waiting outside." Ezra messaged me. I quickly got out of the house before that woman can notice and went straight to the car. "I thought there would never be a day that you would be escaping from that witch's clutches." Ezra said making Stephanie and I laugh. "She should know that nobody f***s with my freedom and her being the woman that birthed me doesn't change anything." I said truthfully. "Savage!" Stephanie gave me a high-five. Ezra and Stephanie are siblings. They're the only people that get me and I like to keep it that way because it sucks when people don't reach up to your expectations. I learned it the cruel way and I love how it reformed me. "I'm thinking that I should look for a job that could help me with my fees." I said my thoughts. "Oh hell no! We're rich and my parents consider you more than a son so they strictly said that they're going to pay for your each and every expense happily." Ezra stated. "But Ezra you know I can't-" I was cut off by Stephanie. "Just like what Ezra said, we consider you more than a brother. We love you and you've done so much for us so what we're doing is nothing compared to what you've done for us." Their words made me cry and I laughed. "You guys are just too much and I love you so much." I said making them smile and Ezra ruffle my hair. We arrived at my now new home. Home was the place that i've been craving for since I was born. "Thank you so much for giving me a place that I could finally call home." "Oh shush, son this is your home forever. You don't thank family because I consider it disrespect." Ezra's mum, Victoria Lawson or what I call her mama Vic, said coming out of nowhere. "Mama Vic! You're looking as gorgeous as ever!" I greeted the beautiful lady in front of me and gave her a hug with a kiss on the cheek. "I'm sorry but I have to say this. Thank you so much for having me here." I said earning a slap on the back of my head. "Owie!" "Oh shut up, let Ezra and Stephanie take you to your new room. I personally decorated it to your liking." She said. Once I entered the room, I couldn't help but gasp. "OH MY GOSH!" I squealed like a little girl. "We'll leave you be." The siblings said before exiting my room. The room was painted dark blue resembling the night. There were dark black curtains on the windows making it impossible for sunrays and light to come in. Glowing stars were present on the walls and a crescent moon which was glowing too making it look like my own personal starry night. A remote controlled large window was there on the ceiling, you could see the sun and sky if you pressed 'open'. A waterbed on the middle of the room just under the large window. A matching study desk that had a moon lamp on it which changed colours. A HUGE walk in closet that had different types of expensive clothes from Louis Vuitton, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, David Jones, Gucci, Dior, Ralph Lauren and even f*****g Armani. They remembered how I said how much i'd love to have a room which looked like a beautiful, cold and windy night. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub and a bathtub with a shower. Body washes like Nivea and Dove in all flavours. Everything screamed stinky rich in this house. They even bought me the IPhone 11 in a golden colour! I knew my friends were rich but I didn't know that rich was an understatement because they never showed off and that was why I loved them, because they were simple no matter what.
