I stared at the little red shack that sat nestled on the isolated dock in front of me, my mouth agape. When Jax told me he was bringing me to his favorite place in the entire world, I’d expected something.. grander. I didn’t expect the short drive just outside of town, or the gravel road leading down to a very worn down wooden dock. I don’t know why, but I didn’t expect the little red structure on the dock. It had faded red-painted wood siding had definitely seen years of wear, but something about it was charming.
