Once we got back to Jax’s house, he left me alone upstairs to shower while he went to go ask Imogen to prepare brunch for me. I felt bad that Imogen was working harder because I was around— she was probably never asked to cook on top of her normal duties, but knowing Jax, he was going to pay her well. That made me feel slightly better. I was incredibly curious to meet the woman who cleaned for a house full of vampires, and was curious about how much she knew, also.
