The grand lobby was so quiet you could hear the soft hum of the air conditioner. Hundreds of cameras were pointed right at Victoria, then right back at Clara and Alexander. Victoria walked slowly down the center aisle, her red heels clicking sharply against the marble floor. Her green eyes were fixed on Alexander, completely ignoring Clara like she was not even there. "Three years, Alexander," Victoria said, stopping right at the front of the stage. She smiled, a cold and beautiful look. "You did not write. You did not call. And now I come home to find you have married... a little girl from the docks?" A few reporters whispered. Victoria was the daughter of a massive shipping king. She had money, power, and a famous name. Alexander took a step forward, his eyes turning into black ice.
