Clara’s POV I didn’t pause. I crossed the space between us like shutting a door behind me—no way back, no time to second-guess. I grabbed the front of his shirt, fists tight in the fabric, and pulled him down into a kiss. It wasn’t soft. It was rough. Hungry. There was nothing slow about it. My lips crushed against his, my mouth already open, tongue sliding against his before he could even react. He grunted, caught off guard, then grabbed my waist and yanked me forward so hard I stumbled into him. I felt the hard line of him through his jeans, and it made me press in closer. I kissed him harder, tilting my head, and bit his lip. He growled low and shoved me back, causing my back to hit the wall but I didn’t flinch. “You sure?” he asked, voice rough. “If I wasn’t, I wouldn’t be here.”
