Canceling the contract
After soaking in the bathtub for a long time, Abigail finally stepped out of the bathroom and changed into a comfortable dress. She grabbed her phone and called Xander.
The call connected after a few rings, “Hello, sweetheart. How are you today? How is Mr. Mills? Is he alright? Is he moved to the ward?” He began to ask all these questions in succession with anxiety.
Abigail was amazed at his worried tone. A smiled crept to her lips involuntarily. She replied calmly, “Yes. He had moved to the ward in the morning.”
She heard a sigh from Xander’s side as soon as she finished speaking followed by his deep voice, “I am sorry, I couldn’t come in the morning. But I promise I will be there in the evening.”
