I stared at the scene unfolding before me, ready to toss Audra out of my house right on her hideous ass. But something more was at foot here. Ellie stared at her mother in unveiled repulsion and horror.
"You knew John was my mate!? How long have you known?! And don't try to lie, Mother! Like you I have the gift of detecting hidden deception!!" Ellie spat at her.
"I didn't know." Even I could tell Audra was lying at this point.
"STOP LYING! HOW LONG!" Ellie suddenly began to glow a bright yellow color and Audra emitted a lavender light. Daniel and Ezra Hunter pushed me back towards the kitchen.
"They're upset at each other and their defenses are up. Stay down!" Daniel, Ezra and I crouched.
