Chapter 27: Act I – Part 2 – Helpless
“Amanda, did you know about this?!” Rose had called in the conartist to her office.
“No, whether she decides to kill someone or not is none of my concern.” Amanda answered calmly, unlike her companion that seemed ready to boil over.
“How could you not care?” Rose continued to question, at this point she knew that even if she asked there was no satisfactory answer to be given.
“Listen Rose, the job I came here to do is all that matters to me. I will not interfere with whatever Bel decides to do as it does not involve me.” Amanda explained ever so slowly, she didn’t seem to be in a rush at all.
“But this is insane… How could we just ignore her actions like this?” Rose was feeling helpless at her inability to make a difference.
