There was a hard knock on my door, and I walked over to it, feeling confused. I was certain my sister and I had ended on good terms—better than we had in years—but the person on the other side seemed quite angry.
I opened the door to find the queen standing there, radiating a threatening aura with her arms crossed over her heaving chest.
“What the f*ck do you think you’re doing?” she demanded.
“I… am packing,” I replied.
“You’re leaving,” she growled.
“I’m going back to fix everything,” I said calmly.
She shook her head, disappointment flashing in her eyes. “You think you’re ready for that, huh?”
I hesitated for a moment. Her fierce gaze was intimidating. But I nodded. “Yes.”
She let out a low growl. “We’ll see. Come with me. It’s time you show me what you’ve learned.”
