I had a gun somewhere. Where was it? Up the stairs! I had to get up the stairs that had suddenly appeared before me. But I barely made it halfway when I was yanked by my hair and thrown backwards. I tumbled down the stairs, pain radiating through my body, and then the shadow jumped over me.
