I told Gage I wanted to speak to my mother. At first, he was against it, saying I didn't need to upset myself any further, but I explained that I needed to do this. If I could stand up to my father, it was time I faced my mother as well. She may not have planned all this with them, but she was no better at treating me.
He finally agreed, so he arranged for her to be brought here. That was not up for negations. And in truth, I didnt blame him. He already had the security planned out and had extra warriors to be present during her time here. He did not want a replay of what happened the last time she was here.
He was also having Maddison come along. He would allow her to see Colton one last time. I knew what he wanted to do with my brother; I was not naive about his plans.
