Cassie clicked the roof of her tongue in annoyance. How could he use that tone on the lady who has been working for him for over five years? And look at the way Kelly is nodding! Cassie was flabbergasted. She took back her words about him caring for her and being nice.
Cassie hated the way Kelly rushed about to grab her things. It was when she came closer to help her put on her shoes that Cassie could see her eyes glistening in the light. Cassie felt bad. The times she'd heard Elijah cuss at his personal assistant was whenever she was involved and Cassie didn't like it.
