“There. I’m done.” He said, looking at the perfectly wrapped bandage on her head proudly.
Cassie raised her hands to feel it and was satisfied when she felt it was firmer that before. “Thanks. Now let’s go out and make some friends.” She announced dryly.
“Yay! Your excitement is rubbing off on me.” Enric replied sarcastically. They carried the baskets that contained cheese sandwiches and bars of chocolate.
“Did you make the coffee?” she suddenly asked, making Enric pause.
“I thought we agreed not to make coffee...” He whined.
Cassie sighed in exasperation. “If we don’t add the coffee, then our peace offering is not complete.” She waved at the frowning boy.
