Aiden stared at me for a few seconds.
Then, with the speed of a sloth, he opened up the report, his gaze moving from it to me.
This happened several times before he spoke. “Who gave you this?”
My breath hitched. “You knew?”
“Aiden, you knew your sister was sick and you never told me?”
“If I knew my sister was a horrible liar of course I would have told you.”
Everything stopped. “Excuse me?”
“Emmaline,” he licked his lips, “I hate to break this to you, but this report is fake.”
I snatched it, my eyes scanning it again and again.
“First, the doctor who attended to her isn’t a tumor specialist. I know him very well, he’s a pediatrician, Emmaline.” I froze, “In fact, Rhea partnered with the hospital a couple of weeks ago and hired a few doctors.”
