Shivers ran down my spine as several footsteps followed.
I remained frozen, my legs heavier than lead as someone spun me around.
Vincent grinned, pulling out his gun. “I knew I couldn’t trust you. Your pretty face was a cover-up, you slut!” He grabbed my hair and I gasped.
“No, no, no.” I cried, trying to reason with him as he pressed it to my temples. “Listen to me, I—” I wasn’t able to finish because the lights went out.
My eyes widened to twice their size in the pitch dark space, my legs felt like lead until then the sound of police sirens hit me like a truck.
Before I could scream for help, someone grabbed me, pulling me into the darkness.
I flailed my hands and kicked, trying to fight off the new abductor. I bit him and froze as Aiden’s baritone voice echoed.
