18 Wilt trudged along the path slowly, struggling to peer through the dim light that filtered to ground level through the rows upon rows of branches and leaves high above. The soldier was only three metres ahead, but was barely visible. The man’s cloak was little more than a shadow that swung in and out of focus as they made their way along the thin forest trail, deeper into the Tangle.
