Forbidden's (Well Sarah now) POV~ "You have music in your genes, like your brother." Ashton said as I unconsciously tapped my hands to some random beat. "Very funny." I scowled as I turned towards him. "Can you sing?" He asks. "Yeah..." I trail off, knowing where this was heading. "Could you sing f-" I cut him off. "No NO no no nononononono!" I chanted. Literally, just as the rest of the boys came into the room. "You get to leave today!" Luke yells and I cringe. "That's nice..." I mumbled. I swear, if Ashton mentions something about me singing... "Lukey! Tell your sister that she has to sing!" Ashton whined. He seriously has a death wish, doesn't he. "No I don't!" I say as I whack him in the back of the head. "She hit me!" Ashton whined again. "Oh. Stop acting like a baby, Ashton!" I exclaim. "What does he mean by you singing?" Calum lunges onto my bed, making my bounce violently. "You can sing?" "N-" I start but Ashton cuts me off. "YES!" He shouts. "Then sing Sarah, SING!" Michael shouts as well. "NO!" I shouted back. "STOP BEING A LITTLE FAFLOOTA AND SIIIIIIING!" Luke whales, joining in. "Alright, Alright! I'll sing! But stop shouting!" I yells at them and they cheer. "What song?" I ask and immediately regret it, because I know he's remembering something. He's remembering that day I snuck into their concert. If the two words Vo- "VOODOO DOLL!" He exclaimed. R.I.P. Lucifer Hemmings I wish. "I'm going to kill you, Hemmings." I glared at him. "Whole song or what?" I asked and they all nodded, lean in towards me. I leaned back, nervous. "Uh... uh..." I stuttered as my face grew hot. They understood what was happening and backed up. I took a deep breath. I cleared my throat before I started singing. I don't even like you, why'd you want to, go and make me feel this way? I don't understand what's happened, I keep saying things I never say. . I can feel you watching, even when you're nowhere to be seen. I can feel you touching, even when you're far. away. from me! . Tell me where you're hidin' your voodoo doll, 'Cause I can't control myself. I don't wanna stay, I wanna run away but I'm trapped under your spell. And it hurts in my head, in my heart, in my chest and I'm having trouble catching my breath! . OohOoh . Won't you please stop lo- I was cut off as all the boys lunged forward and hugging me to death. "Oh my god! That was beautiful!" Luke cries into my shoulder. I so want to break into that song now. "You're so beautiful, no matter what you say! Words can't bring you down!" Calum sings into my stomach. Though it really sounded like... Wouoowutifol, wo mutter wutwou sway! Swords wan't wing wou own! Since his voice was muffled and he was crying rivers. Bless his heart. Michael suddenly stand up and points at Calum. "OTP! OTP!!!!" He shouts at the top of his lungs. "OTP?" I ask in confusion and they all gasp. "You don't know what an OTP is?!?" Ashton screams. "No?" I say uncertainly. "Well it means 'One True Parring'." Luke explains. "Oh...... WHAT!" I yell then everyone bursts out laughing. We heard a knock on the door and we stopped abruptly. "Come in!" We sing-songed in unison. The doctor came in laughing softly before assuming her 'doctor serious' face. Her name was... um... Mira... no... Michelle? No. Oh yes! Miranda something. "Now, before I let Ms. Hemmings leave the hospital, I need to tell you all a few things." She said and I heard Ashton start snickering softly when she said 'Ms. Hemmings'. I hit him on the arm and he stopped. "I want you to refrain from walking for a few days, so you don't break one of the bones in your legs, since they haven't hardened yet. And yes, I understand you do not like to be 'helpless', Sarah, but you have to let your legs heal fully." She added when she saw me open my mouth. "Well take care of her, Doctor Lind!" Luke said as he slung his arm around my shoulders. She smiled at him knowingly. "Alright. I'll have a wheel chair brought up shortly." She replied before walking out of the room and closing the door behind her. Suddenly, something dawned on me. "Guys, what about your fans? They are bound to know you're here." I wondered and their smiles brightened. "Oh! They already know about you. We video chatted with everyone last night while you were sleeping. By the way, they say you sleep cute." Michael said while poking my cheeks, which were now red. "Mikey!" I groaned. "Well, they love you at least!" He laughs. Another knock sounded at the door and I yelled for them to come in. "Here's your wheel chair ma'am." A man in a nurse outfit said and I smiled at him. I sat there for a few seconds before looking at the guys. "Are you going to help me or what?" I asked, annoyed. "Oh!" They unisoned as Calum went over and push the wheelchair to my bedside while Michael and Luke went over, picked me up, and slowly put me into the wheelchair. "Thank you." I said to each of them before grabbing the rails on the wheels of the wheelchair and pulled myself out of the room with the guys in tow. Slowly, but surely, we made ourselves down to the lobby, and I, when I had the chance, looking out of the occasional window, seeing many many girls waiting outside in silence. "They are really silent." I commented and we rolled into the lobby. "Well they know you got hurt because of me. And that you don't really like noise." Luke explains. "I didn't get hurt because of you, I got hurt because I chose to protect you." I said, turning in my chair to face him, since he was pushing it with little difficulty. He only smiles down at me before looking back up. I turn back around to see that we were already literally at the front doors of the hospital, with at least two hundred girls staring at us. "You ready?" Luke asked quietly. I gulped. "S-sure." I replied. He gave me a reassuring squeeze on my shoulder before pushing me through the sliding doors. I gripped onto the handle bar of the wheelchair tightly. Instantly, we were greeted with soft reassurances and 'Are you ok?'s. A small little girl appeared to my right, holding out a notepad to me. She looked into my eyes pleadingly. Was she... asking me you autograph it? I looked up at Luke with my silent question and he nodded. Shakily, I reached out and took the notepad and pen from the little girl. I stared at the small paper for a little bit before letting my hand flow freely. When I focused on what I wrote, I saw my full name in a beautiful cursive. Sarah Constance Hemmings. I smiled before using my hands to shift in my chair, and lift the notepad to Luke. He took it lightly before scribbling something down then handing it back to me. I looked down at what he wrote. Luke Robert Hemmings. I smiled before handing it back to the little girl. She squealed happily before jumping up and hugging me in a tight embrace. I tensed for a little before loosening and slightly hugging her back. I looked up at Luke pleadingly. Please get her off. I mouthed at him before he reached down and pried the little girl off of me and put her back with her mother. It's not that I didn't like the little girl, it's just that, considering my reflexes, I might hurt her on accident. "Come on, onward." Luke jokes as he started pushing me forward, trying to move through the increasing crowd. I closed my eyes tightly and tried to block out the feeling of bodies and the sound of breathing and talking from me but it partially worked. "We're almost through Sarah, hang on." Ashton's voice appeared beside my ear and I nodded slightly. "Open your eyes Sarah, come on. You won't believe this." Calum's appeared on the other side of me. "Alright..." I trailed off, slowly opening my eyes. I gasped at what I saw. Flowers. Just different kinds of flowers. Everywhere. Everyone was holding one, out to me. I giggled like a little child. I just LOVED flowers. I looked down and saw one stuck between my toes. "Oh, that's funny." I muttered as I bent down and pulled it from between my little piggies. "That one was Michael." Calum laughed and I turned to glare at him. I chucked the flower at him and it got stuck in his hair. "Hah." I said before we reached the van that we were leaving in. Ashton and Luke picked me up and carefully set me into the van before folding up the wheelchair and getting in themselves. Once the van door closed, I looked down at my legs and laughed. "What?" Michael asked from in front of me. "The skin on my legs looks more horrid then usual. It's hilarious." I said as I shifted my legs so I could look at them better. There was a scar running across one leg, the same for the other. There was stitches in four different places on one and eight on the other. I touched my ankle and I felt something hard. They replaced my ankle. "I'm Frankenstein!" I mumbled and every one else laughed as well. "Hey, I was wondering." I started and everyone turned towards me. "Who played for the hospital bills?" I asked and everyone stayed quiet. No... "Don't tell me you guys payed for it!" I exclaimed and they cringed. "Well, not all of it. We didn't have enough money." Ashton explains from behind me. "Then who payed for the rest... Mom." I answered my own question, knowing perfectly well no one else would. "How much did she pay?" I asked quietly. "A few thousand..." Calum trailed off uncertainly. Thousand... a few... "A few thousand!?! Oh good Lord..." I mumbled, laying my head on the window. "I haven't talked to her in 13 years... do any of you have a phone I could use that has service?" I asked and Luke held his phone out to me. "Her number is on the contact list." Luke said and I scrolled through until my eyes landed on it. The contact name was: MUMMMMMMY HEMMMMMY! "Really Luke?" I mumbled as I pressed the call button. She answered almost immediately. "Hello? Luke? Is something wrong?" She asked quickly. "Ah, well. Not really. H-hi m-mom" I stuttered. "SARAH!?!" She yelled through the line and I almost dropped the phone from the loudness of her voice. "Take the phone off of speaker!" The guys yelled at me and I looked at them sheepishly. "It's not though." I replied and they stared at me, shocked. I put the phone back up to my ear. "Where have you been all of these years?" She asked quietly. "Homeless in L.A." I replied and I heard her sob. "But I've been perfectly fine for the past 13 years! Don't worry!" I exclaimed, trying to cheer her up. I noticed the guys looking at me questioningly, now listening in on the conversation. They motioned for me to put on speaker and I did. "How could you have been fine! You were all alone!" She sobbed again. "I wasn't alone mom! The first few years, this nice lady and man took me in as their daughter, but they had moved away and left me behind. After that, the caretakers of the homeless people, Alyssa and Bill, took me in as their daughter for like, five years, and I had a dog! But it ended when Alyssa died of disease and left me in care with Bill. I never really learned how to read or write or anything educational, but I was perfectly fine! That's because I met five really good friends of mine! Their names were Chase, Alison, Brandon, James, and Maddie. We all took care of each other really well. We were like a mini family of siblings! We stayed together until about a year ago. I was out looking for food and while I was away, my five best friends were taken into an orphanage. And not soon after, they were all adopted. They were happy! From then on until about two or three weeks ago, I was alone, by myself, until Luke and his i***t friends found me on the streets on the brink of death from hunger. But I'm ok mom! I'm ok and I'm alive! I'm here, right now, with my brother and his crazy friends, his own family! And I'm talking to you now! I'm fine, an I've been fine my whole life mom! Please don't worry about my past..." I trailed off, not knowing what else to say, as she had stopped sobbing. "Alright Sarah. I'll have to talk to you later, I have to go do an errand. Bye Sarah." She closed before she hung up. I handed the phone back to a full on sobbing Luke. Well really, they were all crying. "Not you guys too! It was just my past, calm down." I groaned and they looked up at me. "But we didn't know it was this bad." Ashton sniffed. "Did it change anything? No, not really. I'm still the same person. I'm still me, I'm still right here. It changed absolutely nothing, and you all need to notice that." I said. Michael wiped his tears and told the driver to stop here. "Food time. Come on Sarah." Michael said as he opened my door with my wheelchair behind him and I slid myself in without any help. I looked up to see what the fast food restaurant was. McDonald's I should have known. I rolled myself towards the entrance and waited for someone to open the door before rolling in. The quiet murmur of voice lulled me to calmness, that is, before I heard someone call my name. "Forbidden!?!" I heard his soft husky voice call and I turned my head instantly at the sound of the voice. And I saw him. I saw them all. All gathered at one table. They all turned their heads and looked at me. We all had a stare down before they all stood up and ran at me as tears streamed down my face. My friends were back. All of them. Chase, Brandon, James, Alison, and Maddie. All of them. How is this even possible? They all came over and lifted me out of my wheelchair and embraced me in a tight group hug, not even letting my dangling feet touch the floor. "W-we thought we lost you!" Maddie cried. "Guys. No touch. Wheelchair. Now." I choked out and they quickly put me back in 'ma chair. "Sarah? Who are these people?" Luke asked me. "Sarah? Who's Sarah?" Brandon asked, confused. "I'm Sarah. That's my real name. I guess I had amnesia when you guys had met me. But anyways, meet my brother Luke, and his friends Ashton, Calum, and Michael." I introduced the guys. "Then this Chase, Maddie, Alison, James, and Brandon." I introduced my friends to the guys. "Nice to meet you." They all unisoned and I giggled. "Well, we have to get going." Brandon and James started walking out of the fast food restaurant. "You're music is good by the way!" James shouted right as he walked out of the door. "Is your driver still in your car?" Alison asked nicely. "Yeah, why?" Ashton replied. "Good, because if not, those two would have probably jumped your car." She replied and the guys looked at me questioningly. "They were always like that. The bad boys of the group you could call them." I explained and we all laughed at how stupid that sounded, considering all homeless people were 'bad boys & girls'.
