Chapter 17: Collide
CHARLES POV
Tension and suspense filled the room. All I could hear was the panting beat of my heart which I tried so much to calm down. I wouldn't want them to see the sudden change in my eyes.
“Speak Charles,is that true?” Father asked, making my heart flinch. I can't let them know. I need to make something up, something for them to believe me. There's no way I can let them find out about it. I wouldn't want everything I have worked so far for to tumble in an instant.
“Where's your evidence?” I questioned him, my voice firm and steady. There's no way he would be able to find that document. I hid it in a place even Iris couldn't see if she tried to look for it. I wonder how Ander finds out about this. Did Iris tell him about it or he just suggested that to scare
