Chapter 14: The Beast Within
CHARLES POV
I plugged the chain around Carson's neck and pulled it with force, dragging it. I spin him around, using him as a dodging object towards his warriors who tried to attack me. My accomplice ran over them and smashed them on the ground.
“We need to be fast. "It appears that more of his men are coming." He said it in a low murmur. All I needed to do was kill Carson, and that would be the end. There were five of us in the passage room. My accomplice and I were joined by Carson, Cole, and his wife, who was now pointing the blade in his hands in my direction.
I turned around immediately, dodging the blade that had almost hit Carson's face, which he was smart enough to dodge.
