THE EYES OF THE ACIENT

Episode 14 The council chamber was older than the palace itself, carved from black stone veined with silver. Candles flickered in crystal holders, but their light seemed swallowed by the vastness of the hall. At the center stood the relic,an orb of obsidian etched with runes that pulsed faintly, as if it still carried breath from another age. Luna hesitated at the threshold. The whispers of the prophecy pressed against her like a storm. Kael’s presence beside her was grounding, but even he could not disguise the tension etched across his face. “The Eyes of the Ancient,” murmured one of the robed seers, her voice trembling with reverence. “Few are chosen to stand before it. Fewer still survive the vision it offers.” Luna stepped forward. Each footfall echoed like thunder in the chamber, the weight of countless generations watching unseen. She approached the orb, its dark surface swirling as if it sensed her presence. Kael’s voice cut gently through the silence. “You don’t have to do this alone.” But Luna shook her head. “This is my curse. My key. If the truth lies here, then I must face it.” She placed her hands on the cold surface. At once, the chamber dissolved. Darkness swallowed her whole, only to bloom with a thousand stars. She stood beneath a sky not of her world, where constellations pulsed like living hearts. A voice, ancient and deep, rumbled through her bones. Daughter of the Moon, blood of the cursed line, seeker of forbidden love, you stand at the crossroads of fate. Images spun before her: wolves howling at a blood-red moon, kingdoms burning in silver fire, her own face streaked with tears. Then another vision,Kael at her side, sword raised, but his body bleeding, his eyes fading. “No!” Luna cried out, reaching for him, but her hand passed through the vision. The voice echoed again. Every tear you shed shapes the path. To save love is to risk the world. To save the world is to sacrifice love. Which will you choose? Her heart pounded. She wanted to scream, to demand another way. But the vision began to shatter, pulling her back. When her eyes opened, she was once more in the council chamber. Her hands trembled against the orb, and Kael was gripping her shoulders, his gaze searching her face. “What did you see?” he asked softly. Luna swallowed, her throat tight. “I saw the end… and the choice I will have to make. Either way, something I love will be lost.” Kael pulled her into his arms, steady and unyielding. “Then we will find a way to bend fate. No prophecy will decide for you.” The seers bowed low, whispering prayers, their voices carrying fear and awe. Luna stood in Kael’s embrace, her heart heavy yet burning with determination. The Eyes of the Ancient had shown her a cruel choice, but it had not shown her surrender. And she vowed in that chamber, beneath the gaze of the ancients, that she would not bow to prophecy.
