The deep sound of the dark horn echoed through the cold night air once again. It vibrated right through the wet ground, shaking the mud beneath my knees. It was a loud, scary sound that meant only one thing. The real rogue army was not just waiting in the woods anymore. They had officially entered the very center of Silver Falls. They were taking over our town, and time was running out fast.
Holden took a deep, clear breath as my remaining healing light finished fixing his broken ribs. He sat up quickly in the mud, his dark brown eyes looking toward the main road where the horn had sounded.
