“I want to keep you safe, I want you to be safe…I never wanted to put my princess in danger, but I failed, I failed her Elle” he says, Nikolai admitting his failure, but he shouldn’t fail, he’s my mafia man, my daddy, my hero.
“What happened? Who’s blood is that?” I ask him pointing at the blood all over him.
“I tried to hide things from you Elle, I never meant for my princess to know this, I was sure I could keep you safe, but things are bad, they are really bad now” he says.
“What happened Nikolai?” I ask him needing to know what really happened, what’s the problem! What he’s hiding from me all along.
“We’re in war Elle, a war you had nothing to do with, but I dragged you right into them, I placed you both in danger and now she’s hurt cause of me” he says, a war.
