Levi and Finn glanced behind them at the men jogging their way. The two girls froze and glanced at each other. Then, in a flurry of hair, they turned and ran away, grasping each other’s hands as they sprinted to the end of the block. Finn turned with a bewildered expression to look at the police running toward them. Now that the girls had darted ahead, the police were speeding toward them at a sprint.
Finn looked uneasily between the police and the girls, running away as if their lives depended on it. He was torn. He wanted to stay with Hope. He wanted to convince her that he was harmless and she should stay with him. But, he also wanted to give these officers a piece of his mind.
