The week went by slowly. Hope went to her desk on Tuesday afternoon and sat slowly next to Everly. There wasn't much left to say that they hadn't said. There wasn't much left to ponder that they hadn't talked about over and over, so they sat in silence. They did their job and gathered their things, planning to return home after work. "What did Mr. Marcherelli want the other night? I forgot to ask," Everly said, glancing at Hope. "He wanted to talk about Cyrus.
