Aria barely slept.
The words Dominic had spoken in the kitchen kept replaying in her head. Tonight. My room. I need to be inside you again. Combined with the way he had touched her right there under the same roof as her mother, the memory left her restless and aching.
She waited until the house went completely still. No light under her mother’s door. No sound of movement. Only then did she slip out of bed and walk the short distance to Dominic’s room.
The door opened the second she raised her hand to knock, as if he had been waiting on the other side. He pulled her in, locked the door, and had her against it before she could speak.
The kiss was slower than the ones before, deeper, almost careful. His hands framed her face like she was something precious and forbidden at the same time. When he finally pulled back, his eyes were dark and serious.
“I’ve been thinking about you all night,” he said quietly. “About how you feel when I’m inside you. About how quiet you try to be. About how I don’t want this to end.”
Aria’s throat tightened. “Me either.”
He walked her backward to the bed and laid her down gently. This time there was no rush. He undressed her slowly, kissing every new inch of skin he uncovered. When she was bare beneath him he took his time exploring her with his mouth and hands until she was trembling and silently begging.
Only then did he push inside her, inch by inch, watching her face the entire time.
The stretch still made her gasp. He swallowed the sound with a kiss and started to move in long, deep strokes that felt different from every time before. Less frantic. More deliberate. Like he was trying to memorize her.
“Look at me,” he murmured.
She did.
“I hate that I can’t touch you during the day,” he said, voice low and rough. “I hate pretending. I hate that every time I come inside you I have to act like it didn’t happen ten minutes later.”
Aria reached up and touched his face. “Then don’t stop. Even if we have to keep hiding.”
Something raw flashed through his eyes. He kissed her harder and thrust deeper, the rhythm growing more intense. One of his hands slid under her hips, angling her so he could sink even further. The other covered her mouth when soft sounds started escaping.
“You’re mine,” he whispered against her fingers. “Say it.”
“I’m yours.”
“All of you.”
“All of me, Daddy.”
The word broke whatever restraint he had left. He f****d her deeper, still trying to stay quiet, forehead pressed to hers, eyes never leaving hers. Aria came first, shaking hard beneath him, tears pricking the corners of her eyes from the force of it. Dominic followed with a low, broken groan, burying himself to the hilt and spilling inside her in thick pulses.
They stayed locked together afterward, breathing hard. He didn’t pull out. He simply held her, face buried in her neck, one hand stroking slowly up and down her side.
“I don’t know how this ends,” he admitted quietly. “But I know I don’t want to give you up.”
Aria turned her head and pressed a soft kiss to his jaw. “Then we don’t.”
For a long moment the only sound was their breathing and the faint tick of the clock on his nightstand.
Then a soft creak came from the hallway.
Both of them went completely still.
Another creak. Closer this time. Soft footsteps moving past his door.
Dominic’s body tensed over hers. Aria’s heart slammed so hard she was sure it could be heard. The footsteps paused right outside.
A long, terrible silence stretched.
Then the footsteps continued down the hall and faded toward the kitchen.
Neither of them moved or spoke for several more seconds. Finally Dominic eased out of her and sat up, listening hard. When no further sound came he looked down at Aria, expression tight with leftover adrenaline and something darker.
“She’s awake,” he said under his breath.
Aria nodded, still trying to steady her breathing.
Dominic leaned down and kissed her once, hard and brief. “Stay here. Don’t make a sound. I’ll go check.”
He pulled on pants and slipped out of the room, closing the door softly behind him.
Aria lay alone in his bed, still full of him, heart racing, and listened to the quiet house while the weight of what they had just admitted
settled over her like a second skin.
