4 [Part 1] | Tutoring An Asshole

"MISTER, BE the tutor of my nephew," the director asked Kirk desperately. What? Did he just say... tutoring this asshole?

Actually, Kirk did not expect the punishment to be it. He thought that a punishment must be suspension or else but tutoring an asshole did not even cross his mind.

"What?" Sky scowled, looking so shocked and all. "This isn't fair tito, this can't even move him."

"It is Sky, why would you even punish a person who has not done any mistake? I know you a lot Sky, at all times you bring someone here saying they did bully you or else, I already know you did the first move. I am the director of the school and I have eyes around the school," the director told Sky whose now being disappointed. The director then looked at Kirk with an unexplainable look. "And I wouldn't accept no as an answer, mister...?"

"Ocampo," Kirk responded. "Kirk Ethan Ocampo po."

"Okay then Mr. Ocampo, I would accept that as a yes."

Sky walked out the room. Kirk then rolled his eyes in his mind. As if I have a choice, director. He is somehow thankful that the director did not give him suspension order as a punishment but is somehow disappointed that he will get to meet the asshole regularly.

"Aye director," Kirk told the director. Sky suddenly went out the office after shutting the door forcefully. "I'll do tutor your nephew sir."

"Very thank you, Mr. Ocampo," the director told Kirk his very gratitude to the young man.

"Kirk nalang po director, I'm not used someone calling me formally," Kirk told the director. "And I'll better get going po, I have class to attend to po."

Kirk faced behind him. Hinawakan niya ang doorknob at palabas na sana nang muling magsalita ang direktor. "Sky grew up and raised by a broken family. His family raised him na ibinibigay lahat ng gusto sa kaniya but they didn't have time attending to their child. He grew up as a spoiled brat and hindi ko siya masisisi. I almost did everything that could change him but I failed," the director told Kirk whose just staring at him. "Please change my nephew for me. Please change Sky, I'm begging you Kirk."

"SAAN KA galing Kirk?" Hiro asked immediately as he saw Kirk approaching them.

"Just talked with someone somewhere," Kirk replied. "Wala pa pala si ma'am."

"Akala ko pa naman magka-cut ka ng class," Hiro said. "Pahiram nga ng notebook Kirk, pagaya ng homework, hehe."

Agad na lumapat sa batok ni Hiro ang kamay ni Nickole. "Sabi ko na nga ba e, kunwari concerned ka pa e gusto mo lang pala makigaya," ani Nickole at agad na tumingin kay Kirk. "Huwag mo siyang pansinin Kirk, ganiyan talaga si Hiro. Nasaan pala 'yung assignment mo, patingin nga hehe."

"Pasimple ka pa Nickole e gusto mo rin makigaya e," ani Hiro habang nakikipag-diskusyon kay Nickole.

"Kunin ninyo nalang 'yung yellow na filler sa loob ng bag," Kirk told them which made them silent. They weren't actually expecting Kirk lending them his notebook. "I'll go to the comfort room, balik ako, saglit lang."

As soon as Kirk leave, Hiro and Nickole immediately got up to get Kirk's filler. Chaunce then talked. "Hey guys," he called the two.

"Hmm?" the two responded.

"Do you think Kirk's a little weird today?"

"Hmm?"

"What do you think happened to him this time?"

"Hmm?" the two replied which made Chaunce to turn his gaze to them. They are busy copying Kirk's homework.

"Hoy," Chaunce called the two whose busy copying Kirk's work. "Hindi ninyo ba naririnig na kinakausap ko kayo?"

"Continue talking Chaunce, nakikinig kami," Hiro told him without even turning his gaze to Chaunce.

"Okay then," Chaunce told them. "Alam mo bang kanina lang maayos pa 'yan, before sinabi ni ma'am na our group and his are tied in the highest score sa group project kanina."

"Napansin ko din 'yan Chaunce," ani Nickole na naka-pout habang nag-iisip.

Bigla namang nagsalita agad si Hiro. "You know what Chaunce, simula no'ng nag-aral tayo dito, I observed Kirk's traits. He is a competitive person that he don't want na may nakakalamang sa kaniya. And I can't blame him for being like that because he was just pushed though, dahil ayaw niyang mawala ang scholarship at malayo sa kaniya ang pangarap na makapagtapos."

Napa-palakpak si Nickole at hindi makapaniwalang tinignan si Hiro. "Oh my gosh Hiro, tumatalino ka na!"

Natawa na lamang sina Hiro at Chaunce sa inusal ng kaibigan. "Baka nga tama ka Hiro."

"E bakit mo naman kasi masyadong ginalingan sa paggawa ng part mo, Chaunce?" panudyong wika ni Nickole patungo kay Chaunce.

Lumapit si Chaunce sa kaibigan at agad na nagsalita ng mahina. "Sa atin lang 'to guys ha?"

"Ang alin?"

"Kasi ano..."

"Kasi ano nga, Diyos ko ka naman."

"Kasi nga ano..." nag-aalinlangang ani Chaunce. "Kasi hindi ako ang may gawa no'n."

"Ano?" hindi rin makapaniwalang ani ng dalawa.

"Shush!" pagsaway niya sa dalawa. "Manahimik nga kayong dalawa."

"E kung hindi ikaw, sino ang gumawa?"

"Hindi ko nga rin alam e, kaya no'ng sasabihin ko sa inyo tas ni-compliment mo pa 'yung gawa ko, naguluhan ako lalo."

"Teka, teka," ani Nickole na nagpa-lingon sa dalawa sa kaniyang direksiyon. "Hindi ba may dormmate ka?"

"Oo," Chaunce replied. "Pero he could not be, architecture student 'yon, ano namang alam no'n sa business management?"

"Kung hindi siya, e sino baga?" Hiro asked him. "Baka may matalinong mumu sa dorm ninyo."

"Kabahan ka nga sa sinasabi mo Hiro," wika ni Chaunce. "I have no left choice but to ask him if siya nga ang gumawa ng part ko."

"Let's make a bet," wika ni Hiro na agad namang binatukan ni Nickole.it "Aray naman, para saan naman 'yon?"

"Gago, lahat nalang ba sa 'yo sugal?" Nickole told him while getting her wallet. "Ilan ba bet ninyo?"

"Tumigil nga kayong dalawa," ani Chaunce habang hindi mapigilan ang pagtawa habang nanonood sa dalawa. "Ang liit namang bagay nito para gawing bet..." He grabbed his wallet out and let out a smile. "Ilan ba ang bet?"

"WHY DID you call me here?" Sky noted as soon as he saw Kirk sitting at the mini-chair beside the mini-table wherein nakalagay naman ang mga gamit niya.

"For the tutoring," Kirk said. "Umupo ka nga kasi para makausap kita ng maayos."

Agad namang naupo si Sky sa harap ni Kirk at agad na nagsalita. "Why does it have to be here kasi? Pwede namang sa library, there's aircon there, hindi pa madumi unlike here."

"Stop acting like a spoiled brat dude," Kirk told the person sitting in front of him. "Pwede naman kasing dito 'di ba? Peaceful, unlike sa library na ang daming tao. Plus, my skin easily irritates sa closed and cooled place like library."

"Still the feisty kid I saw kanina huh?" Sky noted. "Hindi ka pa rin ba nagbabago even after you knew that I'm the director's nephew?"

"E ano naman kung pamangkin ka ng direktor?" Kirk mumbled. "For your information Mr. Lee, your uncle just asked for a request, and that's tutoring an asshole and that asshole is you."

"For your information din Mr. Ocampo, that's a punishment, not a request."

"Maybe you're right, tutoring a dumbass asshole is a punishment no one would like to experience."

"Whatever," Sky said while rolling his eyes. "Tell me, why are you so eager to tutor me?"

Kirk stopped for a minute. Before kasi sinabi ni director ang lahat ng sinabi sa kaniya sa loob ng office, he was eager because of the money that he'll get but as he thought of it deeply. He was more eager to tutor Sky because of the director's desperate request.

Please change Sky, I'm begging you Kirk. That statement of the director is repeatedly popping out of Kirk's mind. Kanina pa ito gumugulo sa isipan ni Kirk and hindi na ito mawala pa sa isip niya.

"Why are you so eager to know ba kasi?" Kirk asked Sky.

"Wala lang," Sky told him. "Tell me, why do you want to tutor me?"

"Tell me reasons why should I not," Kirk told Sky. The latter showed a mischievous smile.

"You sure?"

"Yeah, bilis, lapag," hamon pa ni Kirk.

"Reason number one, I am a slow-learner," Kirk said. "A slow-witted and a dumbass just like you said."
