As soon as we walked into the massive hall, we could hear chatterings, the glow of chandeliers, and the click of heels on marble floors. The charity dinner was in full swing, and there was a lot of class and wealth there. Tyler let go of my lower back and lightly touched it to guide me through the door. It was a simple touch, but it felt heavy. Even though my heart was racing, I put on a fake smile in the hopes that it would cover up the storm that was rising inside me.
