My heart missed a beat when the screen flashed. The statement made Julie's name shine brighter. "We need to clear the air, once and for all." My stomach turned over. Since Julie came, we had only said a few forced pleasantries to each other. A rush of anxiety washed over me as soon as I saw her name on my phone. How could she want anything? She didn't need to say much because she'd made it obvious where she stood in Tyler's life. However, this message? Something more seemed to be there. something private. Before responding, I read the sentence several times over. Where? She responded pretty much right away. Solvz Café located on 7th. At 12:30 tomorrow. Even though I had a knot in my gut, I texted back a simple Okay. Julie said what she wanted to say, and I wasn't backing down.
