I walked into the bar, my heels clicking quietly against the smooth floor. The warm, buzzing atmosphere wrapped around me, music playing in the background, talk filling the air. I paused for a while, looked around, my gut knotting with contradictory feelings. Part of me still wondered what I was doing here. Tyler’s warning about Brian remained in my thoughts, and a sense of dread tugged at me. What if Tyler found out? Worse, what if he stepped in and saw us together?
