The rest of the evening passed quickly.. and despite the fact that Tyler and Nicole had only exchanged a glance after the kiss, each one avoiding eye contacts with the other, the mood had changed.
There was a weird tension hanging in the air between them.. more like a feeling of nostalgia or something.. but then, none of them was ready to address it.
They simply held smiles on their faces, pretending everything was fine.. meanwhile, in Nicole's mind, it was a rush of emotions going on in there.
Tyler, for his part, had managed to calm his mind. At least now, the constant suspicions from his family, especially his aunt, would lessen.
They had put on a good enough show, hadn’t they?
That kiss, however unforeseen, had done the job. Or so he hoped. His grandfather seemed pleased, and
