As I walked around the cafe, I noticed that Bella was waving from a comfortable booth in the rear corner. She smiled at me with her bright smile, the type that usually put me at rest, and I felt some of the tension in my shoulders begin to melt away. It had been weeks since we had last seen one other, and I had missed her grounded and no-nonsense approach more than I had really thought. With a sigh, I took a drink of the coffee that she had already bought for me and then slid into the seat that was directly across from her. "I needed this," I thought to myself as I savored the sensation of the cup's warmth in my palms. Bella c****d her head to the side and arched an eyebrow as she leaned forward, knowing that something was odd. Where did it all go? "You appear to be... tense."
