Chapter 22: RunningI stepped out of the tiny bathroom, my hair wrapped in a towel, and wearing fresh clothes. The motel room was tiny and old-fashioned, but spotless, with worn cotton sheets on the bed and faded curtains at the window. My cell phone was vibrating again, as it had done every ten minutes since I'd left Puckhaber last night. Despite my complete lack of technical ability, I'd pulled to the side of the road about two hours out of Puckhaber Falls and furiously pressed buttons until I discovered a way to stop it ringing.
