A large branch ending in long whip-like branches swept at Lily. She fell to the ground as it passed over her. Thin twigs raked against her back, tearing into her shirt and skin. It stung but was superficial. This thing was massive and strong, but it was slow. That was her only advantage. Its powerful blows moved like molasses, which was just the right speed for a powerless mortal. She popped after it had passed and charged up to its trunk.
