Abby DelaneyAbby could sense that things were changing. Something wasn’t quite right with Louise. For starters, her commitment to the bookstore hadn’t been what it used to be. It was as if any enthusiasm she had for Chapter Five had just disappeared. She hardly ever went out anymore and was, at times, on edge.
She didn’t want to leave Louise home alone and was just about to bail on Shelby when Louise insisted she was fine and needed some time for herself. “You go on and have fun,” Louise had said to her. “I’m looking forward to just soaking in the bath and doing absolutely nothing.”
