Sarah GardnerSarah rushed to the hospital as soon as she heard about Louise’s accident. “I’m looking for my friend—Louise Delaney,” she said to the receptionist once she arrived. “She was taken here last night by ambulance.”
The receptionist typed into her computer and twisted her lips. “Louise Delaney, you said?”
“What? Is she okay? Is something wrong?” Panic filled Sarah’s voice.
“No—I’m sorry, dear,” the receptionist smiled. “I was just—never mind. Here we go, I’ve got her. She’s in room 1107. Up on the first floor to your left.
“1107—thank you.” Sarah hurried towards the elevator and when she saw it was a few floors away, she opted for the stairs.
