Kate MorganKate was delighted for Sarah. She knew how hard things had been for Sarah and she was happy that her friend had found someone that she could trust and share her life with.
“Didn’t her husband just die?” Helen whispered loudly to Kate.
Kate closed her eyes and took a deep breath in. “Please, don’t start now, Ma.”
“I’m just saying. It’s hardly appropriate that she’s marrying, so soon after her husband had died. And why would anyone propose in a cemetery? It’s just so morbid! And next to her dead husband’s grave!”
“We should all be so lucky,” Kate whispered sharply. “She’s happy, and that’s all that matters to me.”
