Chapter 36 Sarah GardnerSarah walked along the dockside. She’d organized for a babysitter to look after Noah for a few hours while Sarah picked up some Christmas presents for the children. The dockside was bustling with activity and people were out and about. Sarah spotted a young family looking over the water. She stopped and smiled as the father carried a toddler on his shoulders, while the mother stood back, taking a photo of them. Sarah’s thoughts traveled to Adam and the days when he would carry the children on his shoulders, too. It was something he never got to do with Zoe. A hint of sadness colored Sarah’s heart.
