Leo stood in front of me, still watching my reactions. His eyes glassed over for a moment, and I knew he was mind linking someone, but I didn't know who.
"Sorry about my brothers they are just frustrated that we haven't found our mate yet," he informed me.
I stood there for a moment, surprised at how nice he was being compared to his brothers. Compared to Hunter and Calix, Leo is the nice one of the triplets, even though he is the younger triplet.
After he apologised, he walked away to catch up to his brothers. I didn't understand why they hated me. It couldn't just be because they want their mate, could it? Will I be like that if I don't find my mate? I hope I find my mate.
My birthday was in two days, but so was the full moon, which meant that my first transition was going to be harder to hide from the pack.
The next day, the triplets ignored me like usual except from Leo. He seemed to want to have me in view at all times I didn't understand at first until my wolf explained that he still remembers me as the weak omega who couldn't fight. That's not me anymore, though.
"I showed him I could fight yesterday, so why is he so bothered now?" I asked her. She replied with a huff. "Why don't you ask him yourself? You used to be friends, after all. "
"I know we were, but it's different now," I explained. "Why? Because they didn't want you dead back then?" she mumbled even though it sounded more like a growl.
"We don't talk about that!" I yelled back. I do feel bad for her, though, as our wolves used to be best friends even if they didn't know I had wolf, their wolves did, but they kept our secret for the time being.
"Their wolves know about me. I could ask his wolf if you would like?" she asked.
"I'm sorry to put you through this, Anna." I said.
My face dropped when I saw Leo coming towards me. "What did you say to his wolf, Anna! he's coming this way!" I shouted through our link.
"I haven't been able to say anything he has a block up!" she shouted back.
"What! then why is he coming this way?" I asked, surprised. "I don't ..." she was about to finish when he stopped in front of me.
"You know my wolf is mad at me for what happened between us," he explained, starting the conversation as if he heard what I was talking to Anna about.
"Really?" I asked, surprised. "Then why did you do it?" I asked, my anger slipping.
"If you would just let me and my brothers explain..." he started, but I was not about to let him make excuses for what they did.
"I remember everything that happened that day you know, I remember how someone pushed me into the pool and how for some reason Hunter and Calix's hands were covered in blood and how you were drenched wet through for some odd reason but I also remember you guys laughing after I was out of the pool!" I screamed at him, making him jump. I had never seen Leo jump when I shouted. I was also surprised that when I looked at him, he had tears in his eyes. I felt bad for making him upset, but I needed to tell him I was still mad at them.
The next minute, I knew his brothers were at the side of him with the same expression on their faces.
"Ok, fine, you can tell me your side of the story but not here," I said quietly enough that only they could hear me.
"Then we do it when we get home," suggested Leo, which his brothers agreed.
I was unsure about having the talk with the triplets, but I also know that they wouldn't be letting it go now.
"Ok," I agreed, "but I chose where at home and when," they all agreed.
After school, the triplets could be seen going to their bikes except from Leo, who was stood near a different one.
