The knights who made up the overland contingent disembarked and stockpiled supplies while the Valiant prepared to get underway. The assault would come soon enough, but before it did, Danica"s ship had the unenviable task of mapping out the coastline. The last thing they wanted to do was run aground on a shoal, so they decided the Valiant would proceed up the coast, noting any obstacles to navigation. Once they drew closer to their target, they would send out a shore party, the better to estimate their enemy"s true strength.
