Angela was in charge alongside some other girls I didn't know; they were Juniors.
"So we're beginning with spin the bottle." Angela smirked at everyone, trying to keep eye contact.
I mistakenly glanced past Alexander, who had been staring at me with a blank gaze since the MC games.
Right now, Angela's hand was on his shoulders, and my eyes burned through his shirt.
He had his top three buttons opened, with a bored look on his face as he typed away on his phone, legs apart like he was in some club he owned.
Damien and, of course, Darren were beside him like guards. Rank A's.
"Let's gather round, and of course, newbies at the front." Angela sneered, staring at me.
I shook my head and sat at Sara's front, which unfortunately was directly opposite Alexander.
I sat across from him at the round table; he didn't raise his head at all to stare, and my leg had mistakenly touched his.
Oops!
“So we begin," she clapped excitedly. Whoever the bottle head faces, that's the side with the cork; the person the bottom faces is allowed to ask the question."
"Understood." She asked, and we all nodded.
"Yipee!" she gushed excitedly.
She whispered into Alexander's ear, who still didn't raise his head.
Taylor and Tyler had been staring at me with killer eyes, continuously checking their phones.
"Who's going first?" Damien asked
"Oh, oh me—” Taylor chirped.
I c****d my brows at her new attitude. When did she start behaving that way?
She sounded the bottle as it turned to Damien; I could hear the disappointment in her voice, and that was when I noticed how hard she was trying to make her breast jump in Alex's face.
I couldn't stop myself from laughing.
They all stopped and turned to me in amusement.
“What’s so funny about the question?” Taylor asked, her voice dripping with pure contempt.
"No… It's not the question, it's just—” I paused with a cough as Kevin passed me a water, trying to put it in my mouth.
I stared at him with a blank look, my eyes drifting non-stop left and right, trying to see if anyone saw that, but they were back to watching their game, except for someone whose eyes clashed with mine.
Alexander. He quickly faced his phone like he wasn't staring at Kevin trying to eat his soul minutes ago.
Angela spun the bottle next, and it landed on—
“s**t—” She blew a whistle.
It was me.
"So Jordan, truth or dare?” She smiled menacingly.
"Truth." I shrugged.
"Tell me, why did you get into LEA? To get involved with the rich, or did you get kicked out of your family?” Angela smirked.
I gritted my teeth as I folded my hands. I was shaking badly, and I feared if I released my hand, I could punch her nose.
So I answered.
“To school in one of the best schools in this city and f**k bitches like you," U muttered lowly, but they all heard it.
She smirked, her smile faltering for a minute.
"Alexander, C: 'min spin the bottle,'" Tyler said.
"Yeah, Alex spin," Rachel chirped in like the bird she was.
Alexander lazily took the bottle and spun it; it kept spinning.
It was still spinning, and by then the guys were already cheering him.
Silence. It landed on me, and he was to ask.
He looked at me in the eye and slowly smirked.
I swallowed not from the glares of Angela and her crew but from the sweat that popped up on my face.
"Am I to ask the question here, Jordan?" he drawled.
“Tell me something," he asked.
"You didn't ask truth or dare," I said, suddenly finding my voice.
"Oh," he chuckled lowly and raised his hands.
“My bad."
“Truth or dare?" he quipped.
"Dare," I boldly said, and the table went
"Ohhhh." What's so special about a dare?
“Well… I dare you to let me whisper one sentence in your ear," he jibed.
I c****d a brow. "Is that all?” I asked and he nodded.
Slow. Deliberately.
I shrugged.
"Sure."
He stood up and walked to my side of the table slowly, bending behind me; he took a strand of my hair and tucked it behind my ears.
I could feel his breath on my skin and the heat that flushed my face.
I wished no one was watching, but everyone was, waiting and anticipating.
Alexander leaned in, his voice low enough that only I could hear over the silence:
“Don’t lie to yourself, Jordan. You felt it when your leg hit mine. And at the pool, the way you mouthed begged to be kissed and your t**s aching for a touch…don't pretend, Jordan.
He pulled back just enough to see my reaction, fingers still brushing my hair like it was nothing.
The table was dead quiet.
Angela’s mouth twitched like she wanted to say something but couldn’t. Taylor looked ready to throw her drink. And my face was hot enough to boil water.
“Your turn,” Alexander said casually, sitting back down like he hadn’t just cracked my composure in ten seconds. “Spin”
"Ummm...I think we should go for a swim, guys," Angela chirped unusually high-pitched.
"Yeah, that's the best," Taylor chirped in accord.
Tyler smiled, like actually smiled.
“But I love this game," Sara sneered mockingly.
"Me too," Darren shrugged, his hair covering his eyes.
“I’m going in for chow," Alexander said and got up.
“Guys, this party is supposed to be fun, c'mon please. Let's swim," Angela begged, dragging Damien and Darren along, thinking Xander would follow, but he went to sit at the counter.
∆~∆~∆~∆ ANGELA'S POV∆~∆~∆~∆~∆
I stood and folded my hands, gritting my teeth and gnashing in anger.
“She keeps ruining everything," Taylor said.
“Maybe we could just go on." Each suggestion was innocent, and I glared at her.
“Why don't you go tell your bestie best that I'll kill her soon? She's stepping into my domain, and it's about to go down in this school." I glared.
“Are we still going with the plan?” Tyler asked.
“Of course, I want to sabotage her. "What's her surname? Whose family does she come from?" I asked Tyler.
She was the smart one; Taylor was all talk.
They shrugged. I turned to Rachel.
She shook her head too.
How come no one knew which family she came from?
“I’m very sure she's from a poor home," I said, twirling my hair in my fingertips.
I didn't miss Taylor's and Tyler's eye contact; whenever I asked about Jordan's background, they always skipped it.
I needed to know her background so I could destroy her life even more and maybe the look in Xander's could fade.
He had been staring at her through the party.
Hope I was the only one who noticed.
“Let’s go get the things ready, Tay; you know what to do." I smirked and nodded at Rachel, who followed me like a puppy.
She's a huge fake, and I know it. She could enjoy my company while it lasts.
