NEWER NIGHTMARE

985 Words
It's been one full week of survival, classes, and sports. We had so many tasks to begin with that you'd think we were already in college and it was our last year in high school. I was wondering if they were going to kill us soon. One week of surviving Alexander's threat and childish behaviors. One full week of coping with the bullies, my name still hasn't left the school blog and the insults I got? "Jordan, are you even listening to me?” Rachel yelled. I turned to stare at her and raised a brow. She scoffed and walked out of the locker room. “Wait up, you were talking about a new girl…blah blah." I said. "Yeah, blah blah," she mimicked. "Angela...her name's Angela," I said, and she stopped. “She’s coming from the states, and she's my friend. Honestly, I can't wait for you to meet her. She's damn cool," Rachel squeaked. "Hmm, ok then. "Can't wait to meet Miss Angela." I shrugged, and she smiled. “You two, your positions now," Coach yelled. We were on the basketball court rehearsing for an upcoming game against another prestigious school but from another country, and the coach hadn't let us breathe for more than 7 minutes. Getting down to my spot, I saw James sitting with his head buried in his phone. He actually decided to wait for me. I smiled. “Jordan behind you!” Lizzy yelled as she passed the ball to me, but I collided with the girl behind me and fell. Gasps and sighs erupted from every corner of the court. "Dismissed," Coach Nina said, sighing. “Great! Another ruined day by an entity," a girl scoffed. I glared. "Jordan, to my office." “Yes, ma'am." I muttered, still glaring at the girl. I looked up to signal James, but he wasn't there; instead, I met with a blue-eyed gaze. I blinked and he smirked. The uniform fit him better than the rest of the boys, or maybe it was just me thinking that way. The boys were also preparing for the game, but Alexander had chosen basketball, as I did. I also joined the cheerleaders; I wasn't accepted fully, but it was still cool with Sara around. She was a new friend I made, especially after Rachel with her unending friends wouldn't let her be. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ "...That is an act of disobedience, young lady; you overruled the order I gave. No staring during a game." “It was a f*****g rehearsal," I said. “Do not swear on me, Jordan," she scoffed. “Yes, ma'am." I muttered. Silence. She sighed. “Now I want you to go to your dorm and rethink if you really want to stay on this team. We can't afford mistakes, Jordan, please," she said and held my hand. "Yes, ma'am. "Noted," I murmured. She smiled. `~`~`~`~`~`~`~ I walked out of the office, rolling my eyes, only to collide into another body. “The f**k!!!” I yelled. “Do you guys always collide with people in this school? Are you blind or something?” I screamed, breathing heavily. “Umm…Sorry?” A rich, deep, and crispy voice sounded. “You…” I raised my fingers and stopped midair. Blue eyes. Round. Not like Alexander's. More dark. Blue hair and freaking tall. He raised his brows; I couldn't help but notice the line that stretched across his eyes. She was yelling minutes ago," he scoffed and laughed. I shook my head and walked out. Are guys always this handsome?? Walking across the compound from the staff office to the students' dorm was extremely stressful. Yeah, the school was huge, but it didn't have to be this huge. Students were scattered round the place, looking antsy. Some rehearsing for the games and some just moving about. I did notice something about this school: the students were overly intelligent. Grades were posted on the board in the hallway; everyone saw your grades, and soon our first test was coming up. “This is your last year in high school, kids; there's no fun and games. You have to be serious," the acting principal had announced earlier. They all called him boring. I wondered, there were so many games and events this year, yet he said no fun. "Jordann!" a voice yelled. I could recognize it anywhere, the most boring thing that ever existed. “Hey, Sara." I smiled sheepishly. “Hey Jord." She smiled back. “How’s your day going?" I asked. "Good, I heard you collided into Jane." She laughed, sitting beside me as we settled on the pavement. "Yeaahh." I sighed. “They called you clumsy." She quietly whispered. I turned to look at her and burst into laughter. “What?” she pouted. “You think I am bothered?" I asked in between laughter. Taylor and Tyler were arriving today. “I have bigger things to think about," I muttered and stood up in a jump. “See you whenever we…” A car horn cut me short. “Here they come," I whispered. The red Lamborghini drove into the school compound slowly with silent screeching and vibrations of music coming from the car. Everyone stopped what they were doing to watch. “Are Taylor and Tyler this popular?” I said. “It’s not them people are staring at; it's She," Sara said. “Who?” I asked. Immediately a girl can down for the car, smacking her gum in a very rude way, skin extremely flawless. In pink heels and a pink bag and urghh… Pinkie. Taylor and Tyler followed; Taylor immediately smirked at me. Tyler stared. The girl took her purse and walked up to me; I was closer to the car. “Hold my bag, you," she said. I furrowed my brows in complete disgust. “It’s her…Angela," Sara murmured.
